Launceston Airport wanted to improve the quality of the lighting in their existing short term car park and terminal roadways. There was a mixture of light sources, including Mercury Vapour, Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium. They also wanted to reduce both the maintenance and power consumption. Difficulties included the identification and location of the existing infrastructure, i.e. Pole location, height, outreach length, existing light source. This information was then used to guide the design process.
