Moncrieff

ADLT Lighting Project

Overview

MONCRIEFF, ACT

Moncrieff is a designated suburb in the Gungahlin district of Canberra. The name was gazetted in April 1991, with initial land releases becoming available to developers in June 2014.

The new streets are lit to AS/NZS 1158 Cat. P3, to satisfy needs for both pedestrians and drivers, the Nano Optic Precision Deleivery Grid of the CREE XSP is able to deliver excellent illumination-levels and uniformity in both the horizontal and the vertical planes, as well as stable colour-temperature (CCT) and great rendering of colours (CRI).

These factors as well as the 100,000h life (more than 20 years under normal operation) and the 10 year warranty backed by the manufacturer made the XSP an easy choice for Land Development Agency (LDA) and Territory and Municipal Services - ACT Government (TAMS).

The luminaires are operated through use of PE-cells for additional power-savings.

The high quality street-lighting in Moncrieff will benefit the new residents for many years to come.
