Like many schools around Queensland, the car park at St. Francis College in Crestmead had no dedicated lighting for their on-site car park. The college regularly hosts night-time events for its large number of P12 students and families, meaning the poorly-lit car park could often become a cause for concern to those using it.
Advanced Lighting Technologies (ADLT), together with Opus Consulting Engineers and Inline Electrical contractors supplied and installed Cree XSP luminaires. The Cree XSP can be adjusted in the field meaning the school can decrease or increase light levels as required. The XSP also uses delivery grid optical technology, ensuring neighbouring properties don’t get unwanted glare or spilled light shone on them.
