Clayton Open Space Project

ADLT Lighting Project

Overview

The Victorian Government has been busily removing railway level crossings over the past few years, including nine along the Cranbourne / Pakenham lines that sat in between Caulfield & Dandenong.

Sections of elevated rail have been built along this corridor, with the open space created underneath dedicated to public and community use, including cycling tracks, playgrounds and sporting facilities.

Advanced Lighting Technologies supplied the Cree OSQ High Output LED Area/Flood luminaire to illuminate a number of multi-purpose sporting courts and surrounding areas along the rail line in Clayton, VIC. Backlight shields were used to minimise obtrusive light and reduce any impact on train drivers and neighbouring properties.

UPDATE: Lighting work completed on the Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project was recently recognised with a commendation at the IESANZ 2019 VIC/TAS Awards.

Presented by the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand (IESANZ), the awards celebrate originality and ingenuity in lighting and luminaire design.
